Continuing on from our earlier blog on Hydration and Electrolytes!

As well as drinking water and taking electrolytes we can get hydration from the foods we eat! Today is National Watermelon Day and Watermelon is great to include in your whole food diet!

Watermelon is over 90% water but also contains essential minerals like potassium and magnesium which help keep you hydrated!!! In addition it contains vitamins A, C, and B-complex and is a good source of antioxidants, which may help protect against cell damage.

So enjoy some watermelon today, it’s so versatile and can be used for salads, puddings and is also refreshing simply juiced with some ice and lime!
