How we treat women’s health issues with alternative therapies and technology

With today being Every Woman Day, a day raising awareness for Women’s Health Problems…  we thought it was time to share some benefits that can help ease the symptoms of some of the issues specifically for Women.

Many of our members at The F.I.T Partnership already are aware of the benefits of both Cryotherapy and Infrared Sauna sessions can have on the following women’s health issues:

  1. Menstrual Pain and PMS:
Whole body cryotherapy helps reduce anti-inflammation effects, releases endorphins to aid pain relief.
Whilst Infrared Sauna sessions many women have reported reduced menstrual cramps and pain after using an infrared sauna. The heat may help sore and tense relax muscles too.
  2. Mood and Mental Health:
The endorphin release, the body’s natural “feel-good” chemicals,  from cryotherapy or Infrared Sauna’s may help in elevating mood and providing a sense of well-being, often related to hormonal mood swings and PMS.
  3. Skin Conditions:
For women struggling with skin conditions linked to hormonal issues such as cystic acne and others.
Cryotherapy can improve skin conditions often linked to hormonal changes, such as cystic acne. Whilst the sweating induced by the sauna can help unclog pores and promote clearer skin.
  4. Chronic Pain Relief/ Fibromyalgia:
Some women with conditions like fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome have sought out cryotherapy and Infrared Sauna’s for potential relief from pain and fatigue.
  5. Weight Loss and Metabolism:
Both Cryotherapy and Infrared Sauna sessions can help boost the metabolism, aiding weight loss, which might be beneficial for women dealing with metabolic slowdowns due to age or other health disruptors.
  6. Anti-Aging and Skin Rejuvenation: The brief exposure to cold during cryotherapy & infrared saunss can stimulate blood flow and might promote healthier-looking skin. Some women use it for its potential anti-aging and skin tightening benefits, and production of collagen.

Additionally research has shown that Cryotherapy can also help treat the following health issues:

  1. Fibrocystic Breast Disease: Some studies have suggested that local cryotherapy can help reduce the pain and discomfort associated with fibrocystic breast changes.
  2. Postpartum Recovery: Anecdotal reports suggest that cryotherapy may help with postpartum recovery by reducing inflammation, improving mood, and boosting energy levels.
  3. . Enhanced Recovery: For active women or those engaged in sports, cryotherapy might help in muscle recovery and reduce muscle soreness post-exercise.

Whilst Infrared Sauna sessions can help women with the following benefits aswell:

  1. Improved Circulation: The heat generated from the infrared sauna can boost blood circulation, which can be beneficial for overall health and especially for women experiencing conditions like varicose veins.
    1. Stress and Relaxation: Just like traditional saunas, the warmth of an infrared sauna can promote relaxation and reduce stress. Given that many women report increased levels of stress due to various life responsibilities and hormonal fluctuations, this relaxation aspect can be particularly beneficial.
    1. : Detoxification: Though the concept of “detox” is a debated one in the scientific community, proponents argue that sweating in a sauna can help the body release toxins. This might be particularly relevant for women concerned about environmental toxins and their potential effects on reproductive health.
    1. : Improved Sleep: Regular infrared sauna use might promote relaxation and, in turn, improve sleep quality, which can be crucial for women dealing with sleep disturbances related to hormonal changes, stress, or other factors.
    1. Joint Pain Relief: This is particularly relevant for women dealing with conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or those experiencing joint pain due to hormonal fluctuations during the menstrual cycle.

As always, women should consult with healthcare professionals before beginning any new therapy or treatment, including infrared saunas and cryotherapy, especially if they are pregnant or have underlying health conditions.
