One of our popular facilities at The F.I.T Partnership studio is our Infrared Sauna – in fact it’s so popular SweatyAF Podcast record their show weekly right inside the sauna!
So what’s the difference between a regular sauna and our Infrared Sauna?
Traditional saunas heat the air, and being exposed to the hot air then causes your body to heat up. However, the infrared rays emitted by our sauna penetrate more deeply into your body, heating you up from the inside out.
The deeper heat penetration from the infrared rays leads to even greater improvements in joint health and detoxification. The lower air temperature also means that infrared saunas are better tolerated than their traditional alternatives, allowing you to have a sauna without dehydrating through sweating.
Did you know that raising body temperature relieves depression symptoms?
In a 2016 study published by medicalexpress.com results showed that raising the body temperature of depressed volunteers to the equivalent of a mild fever improved their symptoms of major depression for as long as six weeks after a single treatment. A regular weekly session in the Infrared Sauna at our studio can help boost your mental health and physical health.
What are the main benefits to regular infrared Sauna use?
- Promotes circulation
- Relieves pain
- Boosts mood
Because infrared heat penetrates human tissue versus simply heating the surface of the skin, Infrared saunas are more effective than traditional saunas at detoxifying the body.
Additional Benefits and Improvements can also be seen with:
- athletic performance;
